Our school motto is 'Tahi Tatou Tupu'. This Mäori phrase means 'together we learn'.

Specific plans for the future

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development of our teachers in their teaching of literacy and numeracy, supported by introduction of a new programme in these areas
  • Improving our school environment by:
    • having our school orchard well-established, so that in two years' time our students can pick their own fruit from trees they have planted and tended themselves
    • building up our kitchen garden to support the school's focus on healthy eating and self-reliance
    • maintaining our native bush walk within the surrounding area of our beautiful grounds
  • Completing new facilities for our students and our community, including:
    • rebuilding our swimming pool into a community swim school, to provide quality swimming lessons free for our students
    • obtaining funding for a new senior playground with age-appropriate equipment
